One of the most powerful tools the devil has to attack you, is that of deception. Deception is powerful because it attempts to gain your trust and confidence by utilizing something that we have depended on for years, reason. The desired result is that you call into question your beliefs. My friends be very cautious of what others may tell you and be mindful of what they are trying to convince you of. It may not come as a direct attack against God but rather subtle suggestions; and it may not come from someone you would it expect it to come from, but someone who you or others might have misplaced respect for. Remember that your belief in Christ is not based on reason but on FAITH. In Hebrews 11:1 we learn that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". Christ can not be proven by reason. Nor can we say that the lack of "reasonable" evidence proves that He is not the Son of God. Remember what I Corinthians 2:5 states " That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God".
On June 26, 2000 ABC News ran a story that was reported by Peter Jennings entitled "The Search for Jesus". There was no doubt that the purpose of the story was to call into question Christ's stay on earth. The "slant" on the story was not that Christ did not exist, but rather He is not what we have believed him to be all of these years. They called into question his healings, by speaking with one expert who attempted to explain His (Jesus's) healings as the physiological effect that good news would have on a person who was ill or dying. They pointed out what they believed to be inconsistencies between scriptures and they spoke to so called "experts" who used reason to explain what they
believe "really" happened. They stated that Christ only met with a few thousand peopleover his entire life and that there were no angles but rather friends who brought news. They not only pointed out that people have been waiting for the return of Christ for literally well over a thousand years, but did it in such a way as to cast doubt. In the end, they even attacked his death. They stated that very few people were present during his crucifixion and that his disciples actually stole and reworked a story that was similar to an ancient cult to explain how Christ died and rose again. In effect, calling into question that Christ is the Son of God.
I am sure that the delusional Peter Jennings has convinced himself that he has a clear conscious for his participation in how this story was presented. Peter Jennings will surly be held accountable to Christ if one soul is lost due to his "journalistic approach" in the way he reported this story. In Revelations 22:18 Christ says about the Bible " For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and the things which are written in this book.
My friends, this I know is as true as I live and breathe, that Christ lived, died, was buried and then rose from the dead on the third day according to the scriptures. So how do I know this to be true, it's called FAITH. And the one thing about faith; it isn't really faith until it's the only thing you are holding onto. There have always and will always be people, who out of jealousy wish to attack those individuals who share their lives with Christ. Their lives are often turned upside down because of their belief in Christ and secrets often revealed about them regarding events that happened either before they turned their lives over to Christ or when they may have fallen for a brief time. That's when the attackers will shout "ah ha". Just take a look at what they have attempted to do to Dr. Laura. We all make mistakes, but Dr. Laura is a matured Christian who recognizes that what she did when she was young and impulsive was wrong and she continually speaks out about it. Why? Because she wants to help others learn from her mistakes, so they don't have to repeat them. Isn't that what we all do as leaders in the community and as parents. We don't want our children doing what we did back then.
However, we all fall short of the glory of God, but Christ died for our sins and we are forgiven. Even the attackers have a troubled past and often have a troubled present, but they are dismissed because they are not claiming to believers in Christ. My friends, know this in Romans 8:18 "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us". What you go through today for Christ, you will be rewarded. Just remember what He went through for us. In Proverbs 3:5-6 it tells us to "Trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths". My friends, do not trust in man but in God. You will know when God is speaking to you.
So why would a show like this be aired? The answer is all to clear when you look at the climate that has been evolving over the past decade or so. The country and everything that it was built on is now being demolished in order to make way for a new "moral" society. A society with a set of rules that even the most perverse can live with. A society that does not hold individuals accountable for their actions, but seeks rather to blame others for their actions. Take a look at the Puerto Rican day parade. Who's getting the focus of the blame, the police. Did they attack someone I did not hear about. No, they did not. Never in the history of law enforcement have we seen such attacks against the men and women who protect us, as we have seen over these past 8 years. Where do they come from, try the 60's generation. President Bill Clinton who hated authority then, still despises authority today. He has done a fine job of infiltrating a system in order to destroy what he does not want and then replace it. The use or better termed abuse of the President's authority is directly responsible utilizing the office and powers of an inept (or corrupt) attorney general to carry out the dirty work.
In order to get closer to the new society, it is imperative that the immoral minority get rid of the barriers that separate them from what they believe will be the perfect society. One of the major stumbling blocks to this is Bible. A book feared by many, although they will be the last to admit it. Admitting it would mean they believe in God. A step that they do not want to take for their own foolish reasons.
So why does the immoral minority seem to gain control of the majority. Well just take a look at some of our political leaders. The former President of the United States of America, a socialist on his best day, and a perverse individual who continues to make a mockery of the political system and the country he has despised for many years. The one who pole after pole, voted him a liar. Remember, this is the individual who was once quoted saying that President Nixon has lied to the American people on several occasions and should be impeached. President Nixon resigned. President Nixon accepted the responsibility for his actions and did what was best for the country. The former President only continues to lie and exhibit arrogance and contempt for not only the American people, but for those sworn to defend our country. In addition, there are United States Senators Edward Kennedy and Barney Frank, need I say anything more, and this is just the tip of the ice berg.
These people have single handedly set a new low bar for actions as a leader of the free world. I do not know her name, but she hit the nail right on the head when she used the term "the man in the mirror". Many sided with President Clinton because he represents what they themselves have become. By lowering the standard by which we should be judged, we can be viewed as moral. If they want to get more perverse, and they will, they just continue to lower the bar of decency. However, the Bible stands in their way. By attacking the Bible and your beliefs, they hope to convince you that you need to let go of what really does not exist. But don't, hold on. Jesus is the Son of God and He will be back. Don't let them rob you of your salvation which is given freely of God. Stand strong in the face of adversity and you will be rewarded. Stand up for God. He stood up for you by giving up His Son.
Remember, God hates the sin, not the sinner. Thanks be to God or we would all be in trouble. I ask you to pray for everyone including those who are part of the problem, that they also may become part in seeking the solution (Jesus) and share in the Glory of God.
